Each Question Indexed
Each of the more than 500,000 questions in Polling the Nations is
individually indexed in one of 5,600 topics. This greatly facilitates
searching in two ways:
 | Topics help users locate the information they want, even when they do not
know the magic word. For example, more than half the questions in the
database on the topic of Gun Control have neither the word gun nor control
in the text of the question. Without the indexing, users might miss a large
quantity of useful data. |
 | Topics can be used with other search criteria to focus a search.
Users can, for example, search for Environment as a topic, with water in the
text of the question to find just the records needed. |
With more than 5,600 topics, there are too many to list here. For a
complete list please e-mail a request to info@orspub.com
